What “runs on your device” means for this tool

When you open this page, your browser downloads the tests themselves, the same way any web page loads. From then on, everything runs inside your browser, on your own device. The keys you press and your clicks are never sent to this website's server or to anyone else, and nothing is saved.

Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type and how long you stayed.

Press any key. Keys turn green once they've worked; the one you're holding lights up orange.

Some keys (Windows key, Fn, Print Screen) are caught by your system before a web page can see them.

Questions

How do I test if all my keyboard keys work?

Open the Keyboard tab and press each key. Keys turn green once they have worked, and the one you are holding lights up. Any key that stays grey did not register.

What is keyboard ghosting or rollover?

Some keyboards can’t register many keys at once. Hold several keys together: “Most at once” shows how many your keyboard handled at the same time.

How do I check for a double-clicking mouse?

Click normally on the mouse drawing. If “Accidental doubles” goes up when you only clicked once, the switch inside is worn and bouncing.

How do I find dead pixels?

Clean the screen, start the full-screen test and look closely at each colour. A dead pixel stays black on every colour; a stuck pixel stays one bright colour.

Why does the refresh rate show 60 Hz on my 144 Hz monitor?

The screen may be set to 60 Hz. Check your display settings, use a DisplayPort or recent HDMI cable, and make sure battery saver isn’t limiting it.
