KC Nebula/QR Scanner

QR Code & Barcode Scanner

Scan a QR code or barcode with your camera, or read one from a screenshot or photo. See exactly where a link goes, with warnings for suspicious ones, before you open it.

🔒 Scanned on your device
What “scanned on your device” means for this tool

When you open this page, your browser downloads the scanner itself, the same way any web page loads. From then on, the camera picture and any image you add are read inside your browser, on your own device. The video is never recorded, saved or sent to this website's server or to anyone else.

Links never open by themselves. The scanner only shows you what the code contains. A link opens only if you press Open, and the warnings are worked out on your device without contacting the site.

Camera permission: your browser asks before the camera turns on, and it switches off when you press Stop or leave the page.

What the server does see: like any website, the server that delivers this page sees basic connection details such as your IP address and which page was requested. Never your camera or what you scan.

Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type, how long you stayed and when you download a result, never the file or anything in it.

Questions

Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot?

Yes. Drop the screenshot or photo into the box, choose it from your files, or paste it with Ctrl+V.

Does the scanner open links automatically?

No. It only shows what the code contains. A link opens only if you press Open, after you have seen the full address and any warnings.

How does it spot suspicious links?

It checks the address on your device for common scam signs: insecure http, hidden redirect and short links, look-alike letters, fake brand names, bare number addresses and app downloads.

Can it scan barcodes?

Yes, on browsers with built-in barcode support (Chrome, Edge and most Android phones) it reads common barcodes like UPC and EAN as well as QR codes. Other browsers read QR codes.

Is the camera video recorded?

No. Frames are read and thrown away on your device. Nothing is saved or uploaded.
