What “videos never uploaded” means for this tool

When you open this page, your browser downloads the converter itself, the same way any web page loads (about 1 MB, using the open-source Mediabunny library). From then on, your videos are converted inside your browser, on your own device, using its built-in video encoder. They are never sent to this website's server or to anyone else, however large they are.

What is saved: your last settings, in this browser only. Videos are forgotten when you close the page.

What the server does see: like any website, the server that delivers this page sees basic connection details such as your IP address and which page was requested. Never your videos.

Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type, how long you stayed and when you download a result, never the file or anything in it.

Questions

How do I make a video smaller to email or send on Discord?

Choose Compress and tap a target such as Discord · 10 MB or Email · 20 MB. The tool works out the quality and picture size that fit. Trimming the clip makes it fit at better quality.

How do I convert a MOV from my iPhone to MP4?

Drop the MOV in, leave Convert and MP4 selected and press Start. With “Keep as is” the video is usually rewrapped in seconds without losing quality.

How do I get the sound from a video as an MP3?

Choose Extract audio, keep MP3 and press Start. You can trim to just the part you need first.

Why can’t it open my AVI or WMV file?

This converter uses your browser’s built-in video support so it is fast and private. That covers MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and TS, but not old formats like AVI, WMV or FLV.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. Everything is converted in your browser using your device’s own video encoder, so even large videos never leave your device.
