Compress Images

Make photos small enough for email, job applications, forms and websites. Choose a size limit and the tool finds the best quality that fits under it.

đź”’ Photos are never uploaded
What “never uploaded” means for this tool

When you open this page, your browser downloads the image tool itself, the same way any web page loads. From then on, all compressing, converting and cleaning happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your photos are never sent to this website’s server or to anyone else, so we never see them, or the location data inside them.

Want proof? Once the page has loaded, turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data and it still works. (Opening an iPhone HEIC photo loads one extra converter file the first time; after that it works offline too.)

Nothing is kept. Your photos exist only in this browser tab and are gone when you close it. Your downloads are the only copies.

What the server does see: like any website, the server that delivers this page sees basic connection details such as your IP address and which page was requested. It never receives your photos.

Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type, how long you stayed and when you download a result, never the file or anything in it.

Questions

How do I get a photo under 500 KB?

Choose Under 500 KB as the target and press Process all. The tool lowers quality only as much as needed, and resizes slightly if that is not enough.

Which format is smallest?

WebP and AVIF are usually smallest. JPG is the safest choice when a website or form only accepts JPG.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Compression happens in your browser on your own device.
