The method performed by a first network entity, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving a session management policy control update notify request message including UE policy information from a second network entity that performs a policy management function for a protocol data unit session; initiating a bearer modification procedure; receiving the outcome of UE policy delivery from the UE; and transmitting, to the second network entity, a session management policy control update request message including the outcome of the UE policy delivery.
