Mopar recall: Exterior lighting
What is wrong
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR tail lights with part numbers 68272126AC, and 68272127AC. The terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged and cause the tail lights to fail. As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
What could happen
Tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Dealers will repurchase uninstalled tail light assemblies. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 3, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is A3D.
