Ford Service Parts recall: Service brakes, hydraulic
What is wrong
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) modules with part number EB5Z-2C219-B, DB5Z-2C219-B, CB5Z-2C219-C, DL1Z-2C219-A, or DT4Z-2C219-B. The replacement ABS module may be programmed with the incorrect software, preventing the ABS from functioning as intended.
What could happen
An incorrectly programmed ABS may cause a loss of ABS and degrade brake balance, increasing the distance needed to stop and the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the ABS module as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S76.
