Lippert recall: Equipment
What is wrong
Lippert is recalling certain 8K axles. Please see the 573 Safety Recall Report for a full list of affected part numbers. The axle hubs were incorrectly assembled with a grease seal rather than an oil seal, causing oil to leak.
What could happen
A loss of lubrication can cause bearing failure and wheel loss, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Lippert will replace the axle hubs, free of charge. Affected vehicle manufacturers will be notified May 1, 2026. Owners may contact Lippert customer service at 1-574-538-4514.
