Timken recall: Wheels
What is wrong
Timken Company (Timken) is recalling certain model TP1HUBA wheel hub bearings sold on or before December 31, 2024. The oil plug port may be threaded incorrectly, allowing oil to leak.
What could happen
A lack of oil can cause the wheel bearing to seize or separate, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace hub assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 30, 2025. Owners may contact Timken customer service at 1-866-984-6536.
