Continental recall: Tires
What is wrong
Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental) is recalling certain ProContact GX AO tires, size 255/35R19. The design of the tire may cause excessive heat buildup, resulting in belt separation.
What could happen
Belt separation can cause a sudden loss of tire air pressure and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 18, 2024. Owners may contact Continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168.
