Continental recall: Tires
What is wrong
Continental Tire the Americas, LLC. (Continental Tire) is recalling certain TKC80, ContiGo!, K62, and LB Continental Motorcycle tires. Please refer to the recall report for specific tire information. Cracks longer than 3/16 inch may develop in the tread grooves. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars."
What could happen
Cracks in the tread can lead to tread separation, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Continental Tire will notify owners and replace the affected tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 29, 2022. Owners may contact Continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168.
