Arcimoto recall: Electrical system
What is wrong
Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2021 FUV, 2020-2021 Deliverator and Roadster, and 2021 Rapid Responder motorcycles. The inverterÂs firmware may allow the vehicleÂs battery to shutdown without warning.
What could happen
Opening the main contactor may cause a battery shutdown and loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Arcimoto will notify owners, and will update the firmware, free of charge. The recall began April 27, 2021. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
