Tomberlin recall: Seat belts
What is wrong
Tomberlin automotive group is recalling certain model year 2012 tomberlin avl low speed vehicles manufactured from june 2011 through september 2011. The seat belt identification tag does not include the date of manufacturer. Accordingly, the seat belts fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 500, "low speed vehicles."
What could happen
In the event of a safety issue with the affected seat belts, the vehicle owner may not be able to identify the seat belt if it does not have a date of manufacture.
The fix
Tomberlin will notify owners and replace the seat belts free of charge. The safety recall began on january 10, 2012. Owners may contact tomberlin at 1-706-860-8880.
