Google patents system that auto-builds app infrastructure blueprints
This filing describes a system that uses a machine-learned model to create a structural blueprint for a software application based on a user's request. It then matches each part of that structure with specific available services and configures them to produce a final, ready-to-use design specification.
In the filing’s own words
The present disclosure provides computer-implemented methods, systems, and devices for generating application design specifications. A computing system receives an application request from a user. The computing system generates, via a machine-learned model, an initial design specification with a plurality of components for a structure of an application based on the application request, wherein the initial design specification comprises an intermediate representation of a design graph. The computing system accesses a list of services available to the user and determines, for a respective component, a first service from the list to perform an associated task. The computing system configures one or more parameters of the first service based on the application request to produce a final design specification in which specific services are selected and configured for each component. The computing system converts the final design specification to a destination format.
What exactly they claim (claim 1)
1. A computer-implemented method, the method comprising: receiving, by a computing system with one or more processors, an application request from a user; generating, by a machine-learned model implemented by the computing system, an initial design specification with a plurality of components for a structure of an application based on the application request, wherein the initial design specification comprises an intermediate representation of a design graph; accessing, by the computing system, a list of services available to the user; determining, by the computing system, for a respective component in the plurality of components, a first service from the list of services available to the user to perform a task associated with the respective component; configuring, by the computing system, one or more parameters of the first service based on the application request; producing, by the computing system, a final design specification in which specific services have been selected and configured for each component in the initial design specification; and converting, by the computing system, the final design specification to a destination format.
