A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting multiple subscriber identity module (MUSIM) operations, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration information, configuration information on downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by power saving-radio network temporary identifier (PS-RNTI) (DCP) occasion, and MUSIM gap configuration information, wherein the DRX configuration information includes DRX cycle information, the configuration information on the DCP occasion includes one or more timing intervals for wakeup indication, and the MUSIM gap configuration information includes one or more timing intervals for the MUSIM operations; determining whether the one or more timing intervals for wakeup indication associated with a current DRX cycle overlaps with at least one of the one or more timing intervals for the MUSIM operations based on the DRX configuration information, the configuration information on the DCP occasion, and the MUSIM gap configuration information; and in case that the one or more timing intervals for wakeup indication associated with the current DRX cycle overlap with at least one of the one or more timing intervals for the MUSIM operations, starting a DRX-ON duration timer after the at least one of the one or more timing intervals for the MUSIM operations has lapsed.
