A user equipment (UE) transmits to a base station capability information of fine-tuning online one or more AI/ML models of the UE; receives, from the base station, channels and/or signals for the UE to determine whether a first AI/ML model of the one or more AI/ML models of the UE needs to be fine-tuned; determines to fine-tune the first AI/ML model online based on the channels and/or signals received from the base station and model-generated output from the first AI/ML model; and fine-tunes the first AI/ML model to generate an output that is used for a downlink transmission.
