An electronic device, comprising: a display; memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions; and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the display and the memory, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to: display a portion of a screen on the display, identify, when a scroll input based on a touch input is detected, an area on which the touch input is detected from among a first area, a second area, and a third area of the display, display, in case that the touch input is detected in the first area of the display, a scroll bar on a partial area of a first side surface of the display corresponding to the first area, display, in case that the touch input is detected in the second area of the display, the scroll bar on a partial area of a second side surface of the display corresponding to the second area, and display, in case that the touch input is detected in the third area of the display, the scroll bar in a default area from among the partial area of the first side surface and the partial area of the second side surface of the display.
