1. A cooking apparatus comprising: a body having a cooking chamber therein; a microwave-heating unit, including a magnetron, and operable to radiate microwaves to the cooking chamber; a convection-heating unit, including a convection circulation fan, and that is operable to circulate heated air to the cooking chamber; a grill-heating unit, including a grill heater, and operable to emit radiant heat to the cooking chamber; a control panel configured to receive a fry cooking command and to receive a selection of a kind of food to be cooked; and a control unit configured to: perform a fry cooking operation based on the fry cooking command and the selection of a kind of food to be cooked having been received, the fry cooking operation including: a heating stage in which the microwave-heating unit is operated, an additional heating stage in which one of the convection-heating unit and the grill-heating unit, but not the other of the convection-heating unit and the grill-heating unit, is operated, wherein the additional heating stage is performed after the heating stage is performed, and a further heating stage in which the other of the convection-heating unit and the grill-heating unit is operated, wherein the further heating stage is performed after the additional heating stage is performed, and inform a user to turn over food in the cooking chamber at a time between the additional heating stage and the further heating stage, wherein respective operating times of the heating stage, the additional heating stage, and the further heating stage are preset based on the received selection of a kind of food to be cooked.
