Samsung patents vacuum cleaner with a simple wire button to detach parts
This filing describes a vacuum cleaner design where the main body, which holds the motor and handle, can slide out of the dust collection housing. A button connected by a wire to a locking mechanism allows the user to detach the main body from the housing for cleaning or maintenance.
In the filing’s own words
A cleaning device comprises: a housing having a dust collection chamber; a main body, moveable with respect to the housing, to be coupled to the housing and to be decoupled from the housing, the main body includes a handle; a fixing device, arrangeable in the main body, to couple the main body to the housing to the housing while the main body is moved to a first position with respect to the housing and to decouple the main body from the housing while the main body is moved to a second position with respect to the housing; and a releasing button arrangeable with respect to the main body, and connectable to the fixing device by a wire so that while the release button is connected to the fixing device, the release button is useable to operate the fixing device.
What exactly they claim (claim 1)
1. A cleaning device comprising: a housing including a dust collecting chamber therein; a main body, moveable with respect to the housing, to be coupled to the housing and to be decoupled from the housing, the main body including a handle and a fan motor unit configured to generate a suction force; a fixing device, arrangeable in the main body, to couple the main body to the housing while the main body is moved to a first position inside the housing and to decouple the main body from the housing while the main body is moved to a second position with respect to the housing; and a release button, arrangeable with respect to the main body, and connectable to the fixing device by a wire, so that while the release button is connected to the fixing device, the release button is useable to operate the fixing device, wherein the housing further comprises a fixing part having a fixing groove to which the fixing device is fixed, and wherein the fixing device includes: a wire holder configured to be pulled by the wire, and a fixing pipe configured to be inserted into or separated from the fixing groove, wherein, the fixing pipe is configured to be guided along an inclined surface formed on the wire holder to be separated from the fixing groove based on a movement of the wire holder.
