An apparatus and a method for generating a POAP image in a network system to which a plurality of devices are to be connected based on a network may identify user terminals of attending members attending a target event among registered members on the basis of NFTs issued for a specified meeting, and collect event-related data generated by the user terminals. The apparatus may determine a background image corresponding to the target event based on the event-related data, acquire a character image designed to match the background image based on a character owned as an NFT by at least one selected attending member among the attending members and/or the collected event-related data, and superimpose the character image onto the background image to generate the POAP image proving attendance at the event.
