An electronic device, comprising: at least one camera; at least one processor comprising processing circuitry; and a memory storing instructions, comprising at least one storage medium, memory comprising one or more storage media storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to: in response to a shooting input, obtain a plurality of first images including brightness values respectively having a first gray scale from the at least one camera; by using information associated with motion in a time section when the plurality of first images were captured, determine an image among the plurality of first images as a second image to generate map information; generate the map information using the second image; and generate a file including metadata including the map information and the second image.
