KC Nebula/Image Compressor

Image Compressor, Converter & Metadata Remover

Make photos smaller, resize them, convert between JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC, and strip the hidden info inside them, like the GPS location where a photo was taken.

đź”’ Photos are never uploaded
What “never uploaded” means for this tool

When you open this page, your browser downloads the image tool itself, the same way any web page loads. From then on, all compressing, converting and cleaning happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your photos are never sent to this website’s server or to anyone else, so we never see them, or the location data inside them.

Want proof? Once the page has loaded, turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data and it still works. (Opening an iPhone HEIC photo loads one extra converter file the first time; after that it works offline too.)

Nothing is kept. Your photos exist only in this browser tab and are gone when you close it. Your downloads are the only copies.

What the server does see: like any website, the server that delivers this page sees basic connection details such as your IP address and which page was requested. It never receives your photos.

Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type, how long you stayed and when you download a result, never the file or anything in it.

Questions

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

Drop your iPhone HEIC photos in, set Save as to JPG and press Process all. They are converted on your device.

Do photos contain my location?

Photos from phones often store the exact GPS spot where they were taken. This tool shows you if they do and removes it.

Will removing metadata lower the quality?

Not with "Only remove hidden info": JPG and PNG photos keep every pixel exactly as it was.

How do I get a photo under a file size limit?

Pick a target such as Under 500 KB. The tool finds the best quality that fits and shrinks the picture slightly if needed.
