What “never uploaded” means for this tool
When you open this page, your browser downloads the background remover itself, plus the open-source cut-out program it uses (from Google's MediaPipe project; about 15 to 30 MB the first time, depending on the mode). From then on, the cut-out happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your photos are never sent to this website’s server, to Google, or to anyone else.
That's different from most background-remover sites, which upload your photo to their servers to process it.
Nothing is kept. Close the tab and your photo is gone. Your download is the only copy, and its hidden location and camera info is removed.
What the server does see: like any website, the server that delivers this page sees basic connection details such as your IP address and which files were requested. Never your photos.
Visit counting: this site counts visits with privacy-friendly analytics. No cookies, no ads, no tracking across other sites, and your IP address is not stored. It records which page you opened, your country, your device type, how long you stayed and when you download a result, never the file or anything in it.

Questions
How do I make a picture background transparent?
Drop the photo in, leave New background on See-through, and download. You get a PNG with a transparent background.
What if the cut-out misses part of the subject?
Use the Keep brush to paint it back, or Erase to remove anything extra.
Does it work on products and pets?
Yes, choose Pets, cars & things. It is rougher on thin parts like legs and tails, which the brush can fix.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The cut-out runs on your own device; most background removers upload your photo, this one does not.
